Yesterday Lucy Bernholz, philanthropy maven and lead author of the just-published monograph Disrupting Philanthropy, performed m.c. duties at a gathering sponsored by the New America Foundation, the HAND Foundation, and the Sunlight Foundation. The event, called “DataJam: Mixing It Up for Good,” brought together representatives from foundations, nonprofits, the media, and the tech world to think about how the data that are already available can be used more effectively, as well as what kinds of data that aren’t currently available would make their jobs easier.
About 1,500 viewers saw at least part of the livestream. Video of the event is available at YouTube.
