Case Study: Santa Ana Partnership

W.K. Kellogg Foundation

Case Study Sector

One of the priority interests of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation is to connect the knowledge and resources of institutions with communities in order to improve the quality of life in community. Partnerships achieve uncommon results. In Santa Ana, California, an unusual partnership of public schools, community college, universities, community organizations, parents, and students have worked together in order to achieve an extraordinary goal—to put all youth on a successful pathway to college. This case study reviews successful strategies of the Santa Ana Partnership.

The Santa Ana Partnership, as part of the Kellogg Foundation’s ENLACE (ENgaging LAtino Communities for Education) initiative, brings the concepts of partnership and alignment to life in a way that should be meaningful to other communities seeking lasting change—by engaging all stakeholders in a community and motivating them to work together for a common goal.
