Community Partnerships for Older Adults: A Case Study

This article describes early efforts of four communitypartnerships in Boston, Massachusetts; El Paso and Houston, Texas; and Milwaukee Wisconsin to addressgovernance and management structures in ways that promote thesustainability of innovative community-based long-term caresystem improvements. The four communities are grantees of theCommunity Partnerships for Older Adults Program, a nationalinitiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that fosterslocal partnerships to improve long-term care and supportive-servicessystems in order to meet the current and future needs of olderadults.
