Abstract:
This report reviews data on American Indian child and family well-being and literature on current initiatives in child and family services, and gives five specific, field-based mini case studies of successful efforts to support the well-being of Native children. It concludes that the framework for family strengthening in Indian America is built around Native self-determination at both the personal and community level.
